Troubled (Poetry)

Published on Trouble
The door slammed shut and a gust strolled in from behind.
The breeze shook still, unaware of the tension occupying the land.
Now lost in the shadows, not knowing where to blend in,
--
She fools the crowd with a smile too quick for comfort.
Her heart beats slow, cause her mind races fast,
Walks to the bar hoping to erase the past.
Bartender says no, knowing better than the last.
--
Can’t blame the face you knew corrupt,
To charm the place up so abrupt.
--
These sly eyes hide behind these paraded shades… pfft.
I’m trouble and you sensed it.

Troubled (Updated)

I knew you were trouble when you walked in
--those eyes, those lips
Hay, you knew I was trouble when I walked in
--disguised, misfit
The breeze shook still, not knowing who to let in,
--boy, she fooled me
Now lost in shadows, not knowing where to blend in
There she goes, no one knows, the impact of her woe-some lows.
Stay clear, no fear, her eyes tell lies more than anyone could hear.

Her heart beats slow, ‘cause her mind races fast,
Walks to the bar hoping to erase the past.
Bartender says no, knowing better than the last.
Can’t blame the face you knew corrupt,to charm the place up so abrupt.
These sly eyes, hiding behind these paraded shades,–I’m trouble and you sensed it.
